A model of the Northstar was sent to B.O'Neill to be repaired and equiped with sails for client Charles, who lives in Sask. When the boat arrived in April it needed repairs and the making of parts that were missing due to handling by the owner, and his grandkids. Damage was repair, and some of the outriggings were replaced, along with a replacement anachor for the one that was missing. Due to the age of the model, painting was only used for touch up as this model dates to the early 1900s. This project involved historic research, along with fabrication of sails and parts to replace those that were missing. The owner also requested a shipping box that measured 43 inches x 43 inches x 8 inches of 1/2 inch plywood for shipping. Client in his travels pickup the package on his trip to Vancouver in October.
